This year Chris King Promotions provided both the sound and lighting for the whole event. If you want to hire Chris for any future events or functions, large or small please feel free to come and have a chat in person or visit his website www.chrisdjking.com.

A message form Chris...

" I must thank a few people who have given their time and support to lighten my load this year.

Firstly my long-suffering girlfriend; Sue Hall, who knows my passion for live events and keeps my feet on the ground. My friends Phil & Amanda the musical directors and party animals. DJ Rob and DJ Sam for their guest appearances to make the music more varied. All the bands we invited to play for nothing cos this really isn't about the money, this is about doing the right thing. Fliss my faithful lady roadie. Wynne and her girlies on the village committee who make it all happen. The residents of Upper Heyford for coming out to play every year for a good cause. The wonderful people whole stole the lead from the church roof after we raised the money to mend it!

But most of all YOU for coming out and having fun with us, I love you all. Thank you very much indeed."f

About Upper Heyford

Heyfest 2008 is now in its glorious seventh
year and back with a vengeance!

This 9 hour festival of live music, fun and real ales takes place at Upper Heyford Village, just 5 mile west of Bicester, Oxfordshire OX25 5LB (see map below).

LIVE BANDS, GUEST DJ'S, REAL ALES & WINES & CIDERS, PIG ROAST, KIDS JUICE BAR, BOUNCY CASTLES AND STUFF FOR KIDS

[see map below for directions to Upper Heyford]

Our very popular local fund raiser has grown from a few friends playing from the back of a farm trailer into a yearly gathering of the tribes for local musicians and fans alike.  Our local biker fraternity, The Beerhounds are regular supporters and certainly know how to party!

The gates will open at midday on Sunday 17th August to welcome real ale fans, music loves, families, bikers, lunatics and all their children too.  There will be a variety of food and drink to be guzzled and gobbled, both for grown ups and their long suffering kids who will have to look after them.  Once again the village organizers (Wynne's girlie's) will be working their little asses off to ensure a wicked day out.  There will be bouncy castles and stuff to keep the nippers amused.

Phil & Amanda have brought together a hand-picked line up of 6 bands. ranging from acoustic acts, through blues, rock, alternative and crowd-pleasing covers.

Chris King will be compere/DJ as usual, they couldn't afford a proper DJ. So we are all willing victims to his toy collection of PA equipment, lasers, computers big mouth and lighting rig.  Several special guest DJ's have agreed to plug the gaps between bands, so some very idividual mixing styles will be on show.

The line-up, subject to any last minute changes goes roughly like this...

Craig Live, Phil and Amanda, The Mobs, Outcry, Peacemakers, Angry Pirates, Glam Gits
